About the position

We are looking for someone who wants an exciting role in a changing organization! As a unit manager, you will be responsible for the hospital-wide function of handling medical record requests and assessing the release of medical documents in accordance with healthcare confidentiality.

You will also be responsible for the process of releasing medical documents in connection with research. The unit has 26 employees, including 3 section leaders, working in roles as archive administrators and archive managers. You will be the face of the unit and actively work with your employees to improve and develop the operations for both staff and customers.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Responsibility for operations, finance, personnel, and working environment.
• You will have a central role with responsibility for quality assurance of processes in the area.
• Responsibility for ensuring staffing of functions for scanning, review, and reception.
• The position also means that you will participate in regional and hospital-wide working groups. Västra Götaland has long been working on digitizing archives and case management. As the head of the medical record management unit, you will help drive this development forward and implement new digital working methods within information management.

You will report directly to the department head for administration and sustainability and work closely with the unit manager for archive and information structure. In addition to your manager and colleagues, you will also have resources within HR, legal, and finance to support you.

We are located in pleasant offices on Torggatan in Mölndal.

About us

The administration and sustainability department belongs to the hospital director's staff and common administration. The department is divided into the operations of administration, sustainability, archive and information structure, and medical record management. The department provides important support to hospital management in handling and supporting operations in operational matters.

Qualifications

You have solid experience in leadership roles within the public sector and very good knowledge of handling requests for public documents, assessments, and digital information management. Experience from the healthcare sector is considered an advantage.

We are looking for someone with education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment, e.g., in public administration, political science, or archive and information science.

Development leadership is key in the work, and to succeed and thrive in the role, you need to have the ability to build trust in the organization, be receptive, and unpretentious. You are driven by creating improvement through participation and helping people grow in their professional roles. Having a good structure and forward momentum in work is natural for you.

You are a communicative and clear person who easily engages your surroundings and creates trusting relationships, and you enjoy being active in many different forums.

You will be offered a permanent position in your core profession with a five-year managerial appointment with the possibility of extension.
